Subject: RE: BS: Flash Gordon - wonderful tosh! From: punkfolkrocker Date: 31 Oct 18 - 01:13 PM Me and my mates saw "Flesh Gordon" at the local flea pit.. As long as we weren't wearing school jackets and ties, we got in for most controversial "X" films... I'm sure we didn't fool anyone we were over 18, but the cinema staff turned a blind eye every week as long as we continued to buy tickets and sat quiet... The only time we were turned away was when a new mate to our gang stupidly attempted to disguise his real age by drawing a fake moustache with dirt off the sole of his shoe while we were queuing for tickets... btw.. The British cinema version of Flesh Gordon was probably heavily censored... I've read stories that the director's filthiest version never saw light of day after USA police intervention, and court ordered destruction of film and negatives of the worst 'obscene' scenes ... |

Subject: BS: Flash Gordon - wonderful tosh! From: Will Fly Date: 27 Oct 18 - 11:20 AM Enjoying coffee and bickies this afternoon, with the 1980 film "Flash Gordon" on the UK "Film 4" channel. What better way to spend a chilly afternoon than with complete and utter bollocks on the telly! (Lowden guitar practice during the adverts). "Are you Ming the Merciless?" "Indeed I am". How can I resist... |
