It's nice to see that some of the old names are still playing and listening to folk.Back in the early 70's I helped Dennis Ward the barber run the club at the Studley in Ripon and at the services club in Harrogate. I still like to follow what's going on but play a little ukulele for my own entertainment now as well as teaching grandsons a little when we get the chance. There is a club in Ripon again we must try to support it when this trouble is over.

would love to be back down there, you probably do not remember me Roger, I played at the blackamore, Borough Bailiff, watermill, crown at Grewelthorpe, station in Northallerton, etc etc. in the late 70's and 80's. great times I was in the Merchant Navy. My mother still lives in Ferrensby but I am on Teesside.hope you are all still well and playing

If I still lived in Harrogate I would be there! Unfortunately I left Harrogate for London in 1980 and then London for Australia in 1986... However if I still have any friends/acquaintances in the Harrogate or Knaresborough folk scene, I take this opportunity to say hi... (or Leeds or Oxford for that matter)! Best regards from Tony Rees in sunny New South Wales, Australia.

On Sunday, 04 November, at the Empress Hotel, at 1930, on the first Sunday of every month, the club will start again run by Tom & Sally Richardson.
Come along!
