Our community is holding a vigil tomorrow evening in response to the events in Pittsburgh recently; I've been asked to plan a musical component. While I could perform songs on my own - I've thought of Bob Franke's 'Thanksgiving Eve' or Patti Casey's 'Stronger Than That', I'd much prefer that the songs be ones that all know, and could participate in, with my leading.

I thought I'd see that this community might suggest.

Maybe one of Anne Feeney's? She's from Pittsburgh and has plenty of appropriate ones.

Try Tom Paxton's "We Didn't Know". Swap out "South Asia" for Somalia, Afghanistan or Iraq & its right on target.
