A reminder of forthcoming sessions around the Penrith area of north Cumbria in the coming week. We will no doubt be remembering the centenary of the ending of the First World War in music and song, in particular on Armistice Sunday itself.

Sunday 4th November
Old Crown, Hesket Newmarket (Community owned pub, and home of the Hesket Newmarket brewery) from about 8.30pm

Monday 5th November
Dockray Hall (formerly the Duke of Gloucester), Great Dockray, Penrith.   from about 8.30pm

Sunday 11th November
The Black Swan, Culgaith
From 6.00pm to 9.00pm (note early start)

Also, have a look at the Greyhound at Cotehill.
I’m not sure if it’s weekly, it it generally happens on a Tuesday.

The Cotehill session is on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month, next on 13th and 27th November. I've not got to Cotehill myself, but there is plenty going on around the Solway and down the west coast. Check out the Folk Music Cumbria Facebook page.
