Travel will increase as people, mainly but not exclusively older and wealthier, take the holiday trips they've been denied since last Spring. This won't help the airlines though, as with the rest of the world still in lockdown, international travel will still be out.

if we don't want the epidemic to keep expanding, we can persuade our legislators to allow doctors to treat early with known, safe, inexpensive materials. If we don't care, then carry on. It is up to us. Have these materials on hand and decide to use them if your only hospital bed is in the gift shop and they have run out of sedatives, which they are starting to do..early treatment best. Later might be too late.

I predict that the schools and employers will open a large segment of the population to opportunities like WW II did for women.
The segment of those who will benefit will be the physically and mentally challenged.

I think everyone who can will grow something. I think tiny houses and refurbished RVs are the immediate answer to homelessness. Problems will be sewage and water but there are options. We will stick with zoom calls and work from home and zoom doctor visits..we will buy or be supplied with home devices to check ourselves with. Way more wind and solar energy, hopefully on a house by house basis. Church by zoom..love it...more outdoor education for kids. more release of non-violent (I hope) prisoners and more education in prison. Halfway houses or dorms (covid safe) for released prisoners. There are already lots of very low cost air purifiers and electric heaters and UV sanitizers..like $30 or so. I can not say what the quality is. People will take their health into their own hands and not wait for covid to down them. There will slowly be something like WPA and trees will be planted and streams will be cleaned up. More organic, small scale farming. Massive rehab of abandoned farm land. Poor people will be given what they need but will in return provide valuable social benefits. Some excellent choices in cabinet...the Native American woman in Interior. Pete Buttegeig in Transportation..he will be a good if not perfect choice. We need to hear from Yang..three things besides UBI...marriage counseling, financial counseling and birth control counseling available to all. No food deserts..or fewer..because state extension programs can set up dairies and greenhouses and orchards with mini trees wherever there is space. I hope we do not churn out kids without salable and necessary skills..cooking, automotive, horticulture etc. Benevolence combined with discipline and personal responsibility. Can be done.

Jos, To be honest it was kind of a set up with predicted results.
If you really want something remembered by a community it would have to be repeated 50-100 times. Only you may remember something you post once and sometimes not even you. Some people think their posts are gems but on average a post is a toss off. A 22 stanza poem stands out among other posts but quality can often be more sucinct. Now I imagine most people are bored by now and haven't read this far so one could say any outrageous thing without comment or awareness so if your mother wears army boots you could complain about my accuracy but no one else would probably know what you are complaining about. The playful nature of social media is limitless, banal and profound as it is ephemeral. The motivation to participate for me is my own entertainment. Others may be involved in deep meaningful relationships here, more power to them. Meanwhile Jeri has a lock on obvious predictions. btw my brother did snap off his femur below the ball joint. Now I am running out of room in this writing box which is longer than most people's span of attention. I'm most people too so I grew bored in the middle which is the part'most people'skip. ;o]
