Subject: RE: Review: New double CD of Robert Cinnamond Songs From: Reinhard Date: 01 Jan 19 - 12:33 PM Yes Pam, it is. On Cinnamond's original LP You Rambling Boys of Pleasure, this track just had another title, The Rich Shipowner's Daughter. |
Subject: RE: Review: New double CD of Robert Cinnamond Songs From: Pamela R Date: 01 Jan 19 - 12:04 PM Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The An Góilin has done some great compilations, the "Early Ballads in Ireland" being another. Not easy to find to buy, I think the latter is sold by ITMA so perhaps this set will be also. I was just saying in another thread that "There was a lady lived in the west" by Robert Cinnamond, on VOTP17, is an excellent and uncommon version of Child 100. Do you know if the version on this cd is the same version by a different title? |
