That's a good one Sam!
We're ex-directory and have very few cold calls. But if we get a random-dialled one, I just say firmly, "No thank you!" and hang up.
Husband however responds with a stream of rather vituperative Malinke, and they swiftly hang up!

i normally listen for about 15 secs and say "oh! i am so glad you called. i've been wanting to talk to some one about my church...what is your name?...do you know jesus?..........CLICK!
