Was sad to read this news on Facebook a couple of days back. Many tributes there. I feel privileged to have heard her sing. Condolences to her family.

I heard her sing at Whitby in 2002, and she was wonderful. May she rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear this news too. Maureen was one of Scotland's great singers, and a lovely person, with a fine sense of humour. She will be missed - RIP.

I saw Maureen most recently last September at Kirriemuir and we were able to sing a Dundee song together. She had been ill for some time, but it was a lovely moment for me. Very sorry to hear the sad news.

Maureen's funeral is on Friday 18th January at 13.00 in The Co-op Funeral Parlour, 29 The Roods, Kirriemuir (then to the cemetery around 13.45 - to be confirmed)

I read on a facebook post that it is to the Airlie Arms after.
For those of us unable to make it on Friday, there is talk of a gathering in a few weeks time to sing and reminisce.
