I don't know if attention has already been drawn to this video, but it's certainly worth checking out.

Not so sure about that! Nic's style was wonderful but Nic can't play it anymore.
I would have loved Joe Jones to have produced a book on Nic's playing. It would have been - and still could be - a terrific legacy for Nic's innovative style.

Possibly the most pointless and petty comment I have ever read on mudcat.

no, not petty, one of my points was Nic has said this before about standrd tuning and open tunings, my other point about developing one own style is not pointless this was exactly what nic did he could not possibly be mistaken for anyone else, this was also why Carthy was reluctant to bring out a guitar book , because there were to many Carthy copiers,
what nic did was be influenced by people and then developed his own style, that is what everyone should do, the comment was not petty .
i think Nic Jones was a fine guitarist, and a fine performer, if you want to learn how to play like nic jones buy his recordings and listen and work it out, there are plenty of explanations of his tunings, i am sure he could do with the money from extra cd sales.
