Subject: Trad session in Rennes From: Pat deVerse Date: 11 Feb 19 - 04:25 PM Having just returned from Rennes in Brittany, I have to recommend the session I attended at La Cité D'Ys, Rue Vasseloff last Tues. The session was led by two excellent fiddle players, and attended by a number of musicians including a very good flute player who also played a half-set of Uileann pipes. The standard was very high and most enjoyable. I recommend this session to anyone visiting Rennes. |

Subject: RE: Trad session in Rennes From: Andy M Date: 15 Feb 19 - 05:28 AM Sadly (Guest above) this session sounds not to be trad French. Much further south there's a hotbed of second rate Irish playing, for third rate French dancing, when the local tunes fit the dances so much better. A mysteryto me. |
