She lived not too far from me when I was in London. I haven't heard much about her since the 90s, and I have a very vague memory that she died - but I hope I'm wrong, and that someone will turn up on this thread and put me right.

I believe she's still living in Forest Gate and runs a community choir there.

Jenny Beeching is fine - not dead at all - in fact I’m sitting with her right now! She’s had a successful career as a children’s songwriter, working in schools, in East London. She has several songs on Sing Up!... still going strong and a very talented lady.

Pleased to hear that Jenny is still going strong. She used to visit Edinburgh around the early eighties and played at Edinburgh Folk Club from time to time. She also did some Fringe gigs if I recall correctly.

I may still have the "No more sad goodbyes" album in my collection.

Hi just seen Jenny on FB First sight of her for 50 years ! We used to meet up in the early 70's around Chelmsford in Essex where she performed around the clubs. She may recall Rod Miller and Bob Woolley from the Essex County Council Staff Club They were the ones who hitch hiked across Europe Iran Afghan India and down to Tasmania where we both now live Cannot seem to connect with the Forest Roots site on FB   So if any one could assist in an address for me to make contact I would be grateful    [e-mail]
