Subject: RE: what happened to jenny beeching From: Anne Lister Date: 17 Feb 19 - 06:01 PM She lived not too far from me when I was in London. I haven't heard much about her since the 90s, and I have a very vague memory that she died - but I hope I'm wrong, and that someone will turn up on this thread and put me right. |
Subject: RE: what happened to jenny beeching From: Manitas_at_home Date: 18 Feb 19 - 07:48 AM I believe she's still living in Forest Gate and runs a community choir there. |
Subject: RE: what happened to jenny beeching From: GUEST,Suzanne Chawner Date: 30 Jul 20 - 01:55 PM Jenny Beeching is fine - not dead at all - in fact I’m sitting with her right now! She’s had a successful career as a children’s songwriter, working in schools, in East London. She has several songs on Sing Up!... still going strong and a very talented lady. |
Subject: RE: what happened to jenny beeching From: Johnny J Date: 31 Jul 20 - 05:56 AM Pleased to hear that Jenny is still going strong. She used to visit Edinburgh around the early eighties and played at Edinburgh Folk Club from time to time. She also did some Fringe gigs if I recall correctly. I may still have the "No more sad goodbyes" album in my collection. |

Subject: RE: what happened to jenny beeching From: GUEST Date: 29 Dec 20 - 11:11 PM Hi just seen Jenny on FB First sight of her for 50 years ! We used to meet up in the early 70's around Chelmsford in Essex where she performed around the clubs. She may recall Rod Miller and Bob Woolley from the Essex County Council Staff Club They were the ones who hitch hiked across Europe Iran Afghan India and down to Tasmania where we both now live Cannot seem to connect with the Forest Roots site on FB So if any one could assist in an address for me to make contact I would be grateful rodjmiller@netspace.net.au |
