On a song-request thread elsewhere, the person who requested songs
has made it clear that
"The [Blue] Green Hills of Earth" is a different song than
the requested one.

And yet a number of Mudcatters, judging from the posts,
are acquainted with the lyrics and their origins.
So why not give the song its own thread?

Just my two cents' worth:
I heard a live performance at Boston's Symphony Hall
of the Paul Winter Consort,
performing Winter's own musical setting of
"The Blue Green Hills of Earth."

That was a song in a Robert Heinlein SF story of the same title

No audio/sound file with this link. However.
you can see some remarks from the author/composer
who collaborated with Paul Winter on his Missa Gaia,
and
the complete song lyrics are printed out,
all four stanzas.

For the Earth Forever Turning
