what I have seen of him, which isn't that much, Andy Burnham is electable.

Ideology is all well and good but first you have to be in a position to implement it. I refer you to Michael Foot, as ever.

I predict you wouldn't predict it. Given recent history. And recent history tells us there is division.

The New Scientist reported research into events spanning more tan 200 years which shows that after a recession there is a slide towards the right. And I think we cane see that is true of both the UK & US since 2008. Once the excesses of the greedy become too onerous maybe there is a redress. Slowly.

In contrast to the Brit model of campaigning, in the US the marathon run for the executive office is a grueling two years of non stop frenetic scheduling. When they are pushing 80 years old it is a formula for a natural death. So I predict not one candidate will die of natural causes in old age, but two.

It's about time people started to think about changes of direction rather than of leadership - it's been a long time since Britain had parties with different aims - I suspect that Corbyn is a step in the right (with a small r) direction, but then again, he is a politician

Now that the US Senate has sunk to the level of Hollywood Marvel super hero movies I predict R Senators are so afraid of Trump losing his super powers that they will pledge allegiance to Trump just like his Cabinet did. The Constitution is rapidly becoming an invading second class citizen of dubious status that is the enemy of the people without wealth.
