Subject: BS: future political prediction From: The Sandman Date: 14 Mar 19 - 09:06 AM I predict the next conservative leader will be Sajid Javid. I am a supporter of Jermy Corbyn, but i think the next labour leader might be Sadiq Aman Khan ., if he remains in the labour party |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Iains Date: 14 Mar 19 - 10:57 AM I think I would place more confidence in septic Peg. |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Mrrzy Date: 14 Mar 19 - 02:53 PM I have a past prediction (grin)... |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Mr Red Date: 14 Mar 19 - 04:00 PM what I have seen of him, which isn't that much, Andy Burnham is electable. Ideology is all well and good but first you have to be in a position to implement it. I refer you to Michael Foot, as ever. I predict you wouldn't predict it. Given recent history. And recent history tells us there is division. The New Scientist reported research into events spanning more tan 200 years which shows that after a recession there is a slide towards the right. And I think we cane see that is true of both the UK & US since 2008. Once the excesses of the greedy become too onerous maybe there is a redress. Slowly. |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Bonzo3legs Date: 14 Mar 19 - 07:12 PM Next time Diane Abbott appears on labour front bench, corbyn will call for s general errection!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: robomatic Date: 14 Mar 19 - 09:11 PM Would it do any good to re-screen the original House of Cards? ;-) |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: punkfolkrocker Date: 14 Mar 19 - 09:33 PM I predict youtube and other sociual media will be awash with far right calls for riots and civil war in the UK... What their plan for the aftermath is - f@ck knows...????? |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Big Al Whittle Date: 15 Mar 19 - 05:41 AM I wouldn't have believed anything in the last three years or so. It gets more and more weird. So weird now, its not even interesting. |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Donuel Date: 15 Mar 19 - 06:55 AM In contrast to the Brit model of campaigning, in the US the marathon run for the executive office is a grueling two years of non stop frenetic scheduling. When they are pushing 80 years old it is a formula for a natural death. So I predict not one candidate will die of natural causes in old age, but two. |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Mr Red Date: 16 Mar 19 - 03:28 AM Here in the UK we are somewhat alarmed by the vituperative nature of campaigns. And dread it being imported. |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Backwoodsman Date: 16 Mar 19 - 03:42 AM Too late, it's been here for a while. Maybe not quite as vituperative as in the US, but that will come... |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Jim Carroll Date: 16 Mar 19 - 04:28 AM It's about time people started to think about changes of direction rather than of leadership - it's been a long time since Britain had parties with different aims - I suspect that Corbyn is a step in the right (with a small r) direction, but then again, he is a politician "errection" Nice to have a reminder that extremist right wing politics = illiteracy Jim Carroll |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Donuel Date: 18 Mar 19 - 12:11 PM Now that the US Senate has sunk to the level of Hollywood Marvel super hero movies I predict R Senators are so afraid of Trump losing his super powers that they will pledge allegiance to Trump just like his Cabinet did. The Constitution is rapidly becoming an invading second class citizen of dubious status that is the enemy of the people without wealth. |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: Jim Carroll Date: 18 Mar 19 - 02:06 PM "future political prediction" The rich are going to get richer and the poor are going to get poorer Cross my palm with silver please Jim |
Subject: RE: BS: future political prediction From: punkfolkrocker Date: 18 Mar 19 - 02:22 PM There will be an armed uprising civil war coup placing UKIP in Govt... .. sorry, been spending too much time on youtube today... errrmmm.. eg: "Rubber Dub 2 months ago Rebellion is close , prepare for civil battle .? Blackstone Blackstone 2 months ago Rubber Dub There won’t be a battle? Anna Lafayette Anna Lafayette 2 months ago only a civil war will reverse what they are trying to do. Put yourself and your kids in the territorial army to at least learn how to fire a gun.? Richie Ingpiece Richie Ingpiece 2 months ago +Rubber Dub. Sadly, I think you're probably not too far from the truth. Britain can't carry on too much longer in its current condition of having the forces of evil/socialism/internationalism constantly trying to bring it down. We'll either capitulate entirely, and become a nation of coffee-coloured, asexual muslims with no opinions whatsoever, or a few courageous people will pull their fingers out of their arses and actually try and do something...? Darren Enright Darren Enright 2 months ago If people pull their fingers out their arses & get politically involved! Wake up people join UKIP it's our last chance to save our nation ???? " .. oh dear... |
