But on the few later CDs I do remember buying, there are oustanding tracks. From my teens in the 1970s, I was aware he was a favourite and inspiration for many of my favourite artists... |

A word of caution if you decide to check out random tracks and are unfamiliar with his later solo work... There is no shame in reacting to it negatively. It can be too pretentious, tedious, and unlistenable. Even those of us who like him need to be in the right mood to find the patience to sit through it... If you can cope with Brecht songs, and such stylised theatrical delivery, then that'll help... |
