Subject: Review: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Jim Carroll Date: 15 Apr 19 - 11:18 AM I need a bit of help in assembling information/sleeve notes from old albums for an archive and have come across a few blanks I can't lay my hands on the old Topic note for 'The Iron Music', nor can I find any information on 60s singer (who I met once in Manchester), Al Atkinson He appears to have made an album, though I have been unable to trace it Help would be much appreciated Jim Carroll |
Subject: RE: Review: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 15 Apr 19 - 11:40 AM I presume you mean The Iron Muse Jim. I can send you a scan of that. Don't know Al Atkinson, though there are several references to him online (google search). Mick |

Subject: RE: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 15 Apr 19 - 12:26 PM Jim I've emailed you a cleaned up copy of the Iron Muse insert. I don't think I've got Leviathan! Jim. (I'll check my vinyl later). Mick |
Subject: RE: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Dave Sutherland Date: 15 Apr 19 - 03:30 PM I have Al Atkinson's CD (Should Acorn not be able to help you) also Leviathan. All my records CDs and vinyl are currently boxed up in my garage following a decorating stint but let me know if either are any use. |
Subject: RE: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Stewie Date: 15 Apr 19 - 08:14 PM Jim, I have Leviathan LP. There is no insert - the notes are on the back sleeve. If you care to PM me your email address, I can send you a scan. It will have to be in 2 bits as the sleeve is too big for my scanner. --Stewie. |

Subject: RE: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Ross Campbell Date: 16 Apr 19 - 09:30 PM The Iron Muse seems to have been re-mastered and extended for CD release. (2008) Can't tell if original notes etc included. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Iron-Muse-Panorama-Industrial-Music/dp/B00000590V/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=The+Iron+Muse&qid=1555464046&s=ga Ross |
Subject: RE: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Reinhard Date: 17 Apr 19 - 12:45 AM Ross, despite the same title, the Iron Muse CD is not a reissue but a compilation with only eight tracks from the original album and a with lot of other musicians. Especially, not a single song by the original album's arranger A.L. Lloyd made it onto this compilation. |
Subject: RE: Missing Sleeve Notes From: Ross Campbell Date: 17 May 19 - 02:19 PM Should have gone to Specsavers (or at least Wikipedia). No Matt McGinn either! |
