Staying over with family in Sheffied we have the chance to visit some local clubs. The Nether Edge Folk Club is ideal only 2 miles away - any others Thursday 30/5 - Saturday last week of May? Will prob combine with walking / B&B so radius can be reasonable. Singers nights ideal as get to hear 'local people ' thanks.

Thursday 30th - Crookes fc, Sheffield 6. They have a guest booked that week (All Day Dog's Breakfast), but there are a few singers' spots too.

However, if you're prepared to travel just a bit, there's Ossett on the Thursday at the Cricket Club, that's always a good singers' night. Only 5 minutes from junction 40 of the M1.

Fri and Sat are rather quiet in that area however, from what i recall.
Check out Stirrings magazine for other listings just in case I've missed anything in Sheffield itself.

Oh, also if you'll be there on the Tuesday of that week too (28th), there's our Just Voices (unaccompanied) singers' session at The Garden Gate in Hunslet just south of Leeds (30 miles), junction 7 of M621 off M1, see separate thread, you'd be very welcome there.
