Subject: Obit: Liam Mac Con Iomaire From: Felipa Date: 11 May 19 - 02:41 PM Liam Mac Con Iomaire died at the beginning of this week (5 May 2019), aged 81. He was better known as a teacher, writer and broadcaster than as a singer; but he made great contributions to the world of Irish language singing. He wrote a biography of eminent singer Seosamh O hEanaí aka Joe Heany. Liam was a co-founder of Sean-nós Cois Life, and annual festival of traditional song which features workshops, sesions and an award ceremony.
