Just read on Spencer’s FB Page that he left this world last night. A lovely man, hugely talented, and generous of his time for those of us fortunate enough to meet and play with him. He will be missed, but he will live on in his music and in our hearts.

Condolences to Spencer’s family and friends. RIP.

Spencer was a frequent performer on the monthly live radio program produced by our local public radio station, WUWF in Pensacola, FL.

First Dr. John, now Spencer. Sad week for New Orleans' music.

I was sorry to hear this. There is much on the web to read about Spencer and his full musical life. Well worth reading. I have added his name to the "In Memoriam" thread. My condolences to all those who know and love him.

I had the privilege of running sound for Spencer over the last 20 years whenever he played in Denver. A kind and gentle soul who will be missed. My condolences to his family.
