Where should I make sure that I Visit when I am touring Mississippi? I am greatly interested in the authentic blues experience. Specifically can someone please direct me to a Juke Joint and a Church that are a must see.

Thank you for you help, and I look forward to meeting what I consider to be my people in the South.

Just a refresh too. The only place I know in Mississippi is a point about 30 miles out of Tupelo where the earth ends.....I mean, Mississippi is the end of the earth and that ain't no shit.

Yeah...That's great Max.....and while you're driving, be sure to stop just after you cross the line south of Memphis, in Tunica. Great little place there where you can buy bedsheets really cheap..pillowcases too. Sorry, no patterns or colors...just white muslin, although I understand percale is catching on lately.

A good guide for what to see blues-wise in Mississippi is Jim O'Neil's 'Delta Blues Map Kit', which you can get from Jim at Stackhouse/Delta Record Mart, 232 Sunflower Ave., Clarksdale, Ms 38614.

At least drop by and see them as you pass through Clarksdale.
