I'm hoping the May flurry of medical stuff will not rival Rap's dramatic history of repairs, though I do seem to be entering my bionic phase. My cataracts are being addressed, and at the physical to give surgery approval my GP found that my thyroid is running on low. That explains A LOT that I won't go into here, but by the end of May I hope to not need extra lights and lenses to see close up and I hope to have a lot more energy and fewer aches and pains. Getting older is a bitch, but especially if it isn't age that makes you feel old, but that little shield petering out.

Backaways I had my left rotator cup repaired and the surgeon gave me a DVD of the surgery. I can try to post it if you wish. I submitted it for an Emmy or an Oscar and at Cannes but for some reason nobody accepted it.

I was thinking of offering cut-rate colonoscopies, but realized that I didn't really want to look in that. Now I'll use it to check inside walls and other hard-to-get-at places. Like other things I have (extensible mirrors, for instance) it's an inspection tool.

For weeks the muon has sparked speculation that an undiscoverd boson is respondsible for the muon's abberant behavior or perhaps some other unexpected interaction. We can play with muons for up to 3 seconds now at relativistic speeds, which slows time down.
News reporting rhetoric on the muon is somewhat hyperbolic.
The fate of all mankind is NOT in question regarding new muon data. :*)

I thought when Amos described an aspect of the universe to be a massive tendril gently wrapping itself around our visible galaxies to be spot on and poetic. Today cosmological musing gave way to more pressing matters like "whats for lunch".

My ol pal Pythagorus mused about the music of the spheres obeying a 12 note scale. While wrong he was kinda right if you consider string theory vibrations in 12 dimensions. Even Einstien got esoteric in his last 30 years and spoke of the 'mind of god' being virtually alive.

I've heard how dark matter is like the branches and trunk of a tree while normal matter is like the leaves on the cosmic tree but I never heard that the diet of dark matter is visible matter.

Dark matter may be eating some of those 12 dimensions that are causing in turn the acceleration of the universe. A star trek cure for the universe might be to sour the 'taste' of the devoured dimension and protect sections of the universe from tearing apart. Perhaps your Overlords are big fat gluttons.

I find that the obvious is often the most shocking. This POV of mine has led me to the subject of our Feeding Universe. Of course the obvious is often 'wromg' however there are shared mathmatical algorithms between 2D slime mold feeding patterns and the mega structure of the entire 4D universe.
The mega structure of the universe is like a fiberous sponge that obeys the math law of how to cover the maximum area with the least amount of material the same as the pattern slime molds obey in order to feed effectively.

This is like an ultimate monster sci fi plot.
The predator is invisible and we are the prey it feeds upon.
The shape is not the main issue, the issue is that slime mold is alive.
The thing is scientists have proven the exact similarity of a slime mold feeding pattern and the pattern of dark matter grouping of galaxies. Some say the universe is alive. Now we are seeing it seems to feed upon itself.

I think this plot has legs and could go someplace.

I've heard chatter about a Peloton treadmill but didn't go looking for it. There are so many short alarming videos out there these days. That 12-second video of cops breaking up a knife fight among young women and killing the knife-wielder has been the most recent of that sort. Horrible outcome. The toddler is lucky he was able to get away alive.

I was able to get my trash out to the truck even though I missed curbside pickup this morning—they paused two doors up as the driver was chatting with my across-the-street neighbor. I carried my bag out and handed it over. Now that's good BS, when the Waste Management guys have time to talk to an elderly woman.

Humans have long practiced human sacrifice, only the motivations have changed. How many other species do this I don't know. Today the state provides a license to kill provisionally. Split second murder decisions do not even allow for the forebrain to have a conscious say. But a murder that takes over nine minutes in front of a nine year old is more than most civilized people can accept as justified. Such deliberate action with forethought is a definition of murder. *So is war* but the state can declare such murder to be legal.
Law has made allowances for self defense. Some of you have experienced having to choose to use lethal force in self defense or not. Lets hope you chose correctly.
The subject of murder defines a culture imo.
In the US for example, lynching is not a federal crime.
Murder is both a state and personal decision. I hope we choose wisely.

When a gamma cosmic ray hits our upper atmosphere and turns into muons it should decay immediately but since it is traveling just about the speed of light TIME slows down for it and allows it to penetrate harmlessly through expanses of rock.
