A new diverse political movement is reminding me of the Tea Party. The DIE party is dedicated to DENY IGNORE and EVADE the law.
Their credo and legal defense is the first ammendment. To them the right to lie, liberty and pusuit of happiness is guaranteed by the constitooshun. They have risen from the ashes of the NRA, arson at BLM protests and armed no mask protests. The DIE party is attracting racists, narcicists and the stupidly proud. Their emblem is a human skull which makes membership cool quick and easy.

All of those Bureaus and Departments and Agencies are lying low right now, hoping to avoid the gaze of the Orange one. You know that back room at the Hovel that usually is used for storing old WWII Army/Navy store gear and cots for the Next Big One? They've been coming and going there to meet out of sight of the D.C. crowd. I think there are cots made up if you look at the back of the room. I hear the Joint Chiefs of Staff had extra keys made to the back door.

Give away projects are running out of time and are opting for briefcases/dufflebags of cash to avoid a paper trail.

Those dedicated to snack food and obiesity belong to the EAT SHIT party and are destined to join the DIE party.
There are plans to wage a patriotic war with only AMERICAN made products. After looking into it we would have to go to war with only My Pillow, Car floor mats, Weber Grills, Airstream Trailers, Gibson Guitars, Wilson Footballs, Chesapeake Bay Candles and Colt pistols. Everything else uses at least some foriegn components.

Colt firearms contain steel made Elsewhere. Many of the machines that make them are made Elsewhere. There ARE gunsmiths who make their arms from scratch, including making their own steel and using machines that were made either by them or truly historic pieces.

A flintlock will set you back up to USD 20,000, cheapest about 1,500. French and English gunflints are well thought of, but getting your own from nearby hills will work. Chickenshit makes good saltpeter, but it takes awhile and the neighbors might complain when you start pouring "chamber lye" over your nitrate beds in the backyard. Domestic sulphur and charcoal are easily had, but the best charcoal is stuff you make yourself from willow.

I'm exploring the concept of a possible choice being made by a conscious entity who can slip between many worlds of Quantum possibilities as an evolutionary advancement. In the process in the discovery of the many worlds multiverse it was found the number of multiverses are actually far from infinite.
It turns out that most universes burn out from a wave collapse.
Quantum events too small to diverge significantly, fail to develop.
'Rick' is the being that can traverse universes as easily as slipping sideways in an impossibly narrow gap. He finds he is faced with a choice between a nuclear holocaust on Earth, or the worst possible President ever to take power. It turns out to be a more difficult choice than at first thought.

I do not know how to unload a bazooka. But, since the chances of my ever needing to unload a bazooka are vanishingly small, I don't worry about it very much. It's not like I'm going to walk out the door in the morning and someone is going to thrust a loaded bazooka into my arms and say, "Here, you unload this while I go get another one!"

Re-attach the safety clip to the exhaust of the rocket OR use a grounded (to a grounded rod!) paperclip. Put the weapon in the "safe" or "please don't shoot!" status or cut the wires from from the magneto to the trigger. The CAREFULLY grasp the rear of the rocket and CAREFULLY remove it. GENTLY lay it on the ground and get the hell away from it! That thing contains a shaped charge of about a half kilogram of C4 or TNT. The easiest and safest way to unload it (for you) is to pull the trigger and don't have any body parts behind the backblast of the rocket. Your neighbors might not speak to you ever again, especially if you hit their chickenhouse. Just remember to keep yourself clear of the backblast from rockets, recoilless rifles, claymore mines, fougasse, and so on. There is also no truth to the rumor that C-4 suppositories "will clean ya out real good."

Oh, I do have an iPhone, but there's not a damned thing on it I'd miss if the thing should die.

Seriously, here's the thing: I live too far out of town for regular broadband Internet service. I have a personal hotspot through my cellular provider. It works well, but I only get 15 GB per month at "full speed". After that, the speed throttles way down. So, I try to avoid unnecessary expenditures of bandwidth.

Backing up an iPhone requires that the phone be connected to a WIFI network. This is a bit silly in my case since the phone and the personal hotspot both use the same cellular provider and are on the same billing plan. The phone has unlimited high speed access, but Apple won't let me use the phone's own unlimited GBs of data transfer for backup. It requires that I connect through WIFI and use up some of my precious 15 GB.

So, the phone never gets backed up and I don't care.

If you should wind up in the ER due to a serious accident, they're going to cut all your clothes off anyway, So why waste a good pair of clean underwear? If they're going to be sacrificed, just wear dirty ones. In fact, you should make it a point to wear dirty underwear any time you get an a car, just in case you're in an accident.

My Mondays are now 165 hours long. The only part of the week that isn't Monday is the three hours on Saturday evening that I spend playing socially-distanced music on a friend's porch. Monday begins immediately thereafter and runs until 8 PM the following Saturday.

My phone still says there are other days. For example, it says it's currently Tuesday. But I don't believe it. If I were to do that OS update that I've been putting off, it would probably say "Monday" every time I looked at it.

A big plastic factory on the far east side of the county has been on fire for several days. The general direction of wind is NW so over downtown Fort Worth. I suspect everyone within a four county area has inhaled incompletely combusted hydrocarbons this week. Soon the air will be filled with ragweed pollen. The face masks are something we should probably be wearing anyway, even without COVID-19.

We carefully watch the AQI. I change the furnace filters (HEPA) more often than I need to. We even "sanitize" the blades of the ceiling fan. AC isn't high on my list of faves, but it's better than 100F heat and pollen. Recently I discovered that I'm allergic to the news.

Did you know kiwi fruit have stiff, sharp, microscopic fibers in them that temporarily attach to your throat like tiny cactus thorns?
