There are some faux park signs with extracts from reviews on the bottoms - I think it's a twitter account that posts them.

Sick of eyedrops, but keeping up the routine. Counting my lucky stars that so far I haven't had as many procedures as Rap. He's single-handedly keeping the medical profession solvent in Idaho. Talk about the Bionic Man!

There are few things that have trodden the posts here as obnoxious of that flea-ridden chimp and his/her friend with benefits, "Bad Penny" Rutledge. Even Shame McBride has fewer resident insects than Chongx.

There was a mystery teddy bear left on the lawn in the back yard overnight. I suspect the puppy grabbed it from the closet in the guest room. It is a bear with no known name, but looks very familiar. It means I should put the ancient fragile named bear ("Grrrr." When the toddler boy who received it was told that bears say "grrrr" he decided that was the name.)

We know who dragged it out because as I examined it I looked up and the pup had tucked herself away in the kennel for self-imposed time out.

As far as past MOAB characters, this pup is nothing so obnoxious as Chongo, but it does match up to some of the dachshund stories that LH has told.

MOM, I ran out of black thread 35 minutes before Joann Fabrics closed so ran over with 10 minutes to spare and got six rolls because if I bought three I got three free. I wonder who came out ahead in that transaction? (Three black, one white, two gray.)

Mom, I spent about seven hours at the horsespittle today getting a bunch of stuff done. I don't know how many times I confirmed what medicines I take. I have no idea how many papers I signed. Two people came to give me the EKG. I did get lunch at the gas station, though.

Eyeball success! New lens in one, now a week of drops and a recheck then the second one will be scheduled. No heavy lifting for a week - though I forgot and moved a cast iron sewing machine and a large porcelain elephant end table in the guest room. I caught myself doing that and stopped. I guess I'll leave pushing the house to stabilize the foundations till next week after the second follow-up.

who can make a fruit cake,
sprinkle it with poo,
who makes a brown dessert that no one can stand.
donuel can,
He makes a just dessert that tastes just like glue
thats just what he'll do ,
donuel can...

I think thats because there's no recipe

A GUEST came along and asked about and reminded me of one of my favorite songs I first heard recorded by Michael Cooney. It belongs on this thread. Our theme song. The Winner.

I'm hoping the May flurry of medical stuff will not rival Rap's dramatic history of repairs, though I do seem to be entering my bionic phase. My cataracts are being addressed, and at the physical to give surgery approval my GP found that my thyroid is running on low. That explains A LOT that I won't go into here, but by the end of May I hope to not need extra lights and lenses to see close up and I hope to have a lot more energy and fewer aches and pains. Getting older is a bitch, but especially if it isn't age that makes you feel old, but that little shield petering out.

I was thinking of offering cut-rate colonoscopies, but realized that I didn't really want to look in that. Now I'll use it to check inside walls and other hard-to-get-at places. Like other things I have (extensible mirrors, for instance) it's an inspection tool.

I don't think you meant to say the muon is new, its spin behavior measurement however is new. Remember muon photography through solid rock?
Physicists who are the policemen of the status que are saying "Muon, there's nothing to see here".

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex]
From: Donuel

For weeks the muon has sparked speculation that an undiscoverd boson is respondsible for the muon's abberant behavior or perhaps some other unexpected interaction. We can play with muons for up to 3 seconds now at relativistic speeds, which slows time down.
News reporting rhetoric on the muon is somewhat hyperbolic.
The fate of all mankind is NOT in question regarding new muon data. :*)

I thought when Amos described an aspect of the universe to be a massive tendril gently wrapping itself around our visible galaxies to be spot on and poetic. Today cosmological musing gave way to more pressing matters like "whats for lunch".

I heard about a newly detected particle recently - the "muon." New experiment hints that a particle breaks the known laws of physics and A Tiny Particle’s Wobble Could Upend the Known Laws of Physics

Amos would have been all over this one and already written a song or poem about it.

I can't think of the best provocative food dark matter would eat.
H gas? - reducing star formation in visible matter galaxies while constantly burping virtual particles ?
e-gad
If dark matter was the sci fi villain I might be called the racist of the universe.

The mystery will be what its eating and what it is pooping
My ol pal Pythagorus mused about the music of the spheres obeying a 12 note scale. While wrong he was kinda right if you consider string theory vibrations in 12 dimensions. Even Einstien got esoteric in his last 30 years and spoke of the 'mind of god' being virtually alive.

I've heard how dark matter is like the branches and trunk of a tree while normal matter is like the leaves on the cosmic tree but I never heard that the diet of dark matter is visible matter.

Dark matter may be eating some of those 12 dimensions that are causing in turn the acceleration of the universe. A star trek cure for the universe might be to sour the 'taste' of the devoured dimension and protect sections of the universe from tearing apart. Perhaps your Overlords are big fat gluttons.

Critters that feed on things leave leavings, feces and other things. This was true of dinosaurs, and is true of people and other animals. Even viruses leave their "scat" behind, as do molds. See numbers 6, 7, and 8.

Britannica.com says, "No specialized elimination mechanisms are present in algae, fungi, protozoans, and slime molds, the main groups of protists. Metabolic wastes (carbon dioxide, water, oxygen, and nitrogenous compounds) diffuse through the cell membranes of these unicellular organisms into the outside environment. Particulate wastes pass from the bodies of certain protozoans to the exterior by way of small openings in the body surface—anal pores and other cell openings. Elimination in protists is carried out passively and therefore requires little or no expenditure of metabolic energy on the part of the organism."

So, where's the poop? Are black holes just universal flush mechanisms?
