We had a patriotic mac&cheese with a naked cheeseburger and canned peaches. 1/3 plain mac-1/3mac with red food coloring and 1/3 blue. The cheeseburger has ketchup eyes and a mustard smile. A pickle nose is optional but extra sharp Wisconsin chedder for the mac and Campbel soup mix is essential.

Yes, thank you for working on that project. I think there are a lot of Afghans being settled in this area and have been meaning to see what I can do.

Sorry to have been away for a while, flu, computer crash (not yet resolved - redundancy is a dog-send in this day and age. It will be several days before I finish the work on rebuilding the OS). MOM looked in, turned, grabbed a bottle of wine and a glass (!) and left me to my work.

Catholic Charities of Idaho is spearheading the resettlement of refugees here in Pocatello. The Catholic church here has had a visitation of people from American Falls (about 40 or so miles west)objecting to the settlement of Afghan refugees here. You see, being Muslim they probably don't reflect "Idaho Values" AND there might be just a touch of racism here.

BTW, every church in Pocatello, including the Mosque, Synagogue, and LDS Temple, is assisting in this effort. The Mayor and the Chief of Police support it. The FBI (a big presence here in their data services compound) supports it.

I was once put on the conveyor belt for a hip replacement. I sought an alternative. After a single visit to a Chiropractor all problems were solved. It involved tearing restrictive scar tissue apart. Did it hurt? heh heh heh heh but its still good. The one surgury I should not have skipped was a plate and screw repair on a broken ankle. A nerve slowly got dissolved by the healing bones. I wouldn't wish that on Trump.

No surgeon, but must go to a doctor to get a checkup before a prescription will be refilled. I'll go for the blood work early and try to get into the office without having others in there ahead of me in case they're breathing COVID germs. And the doctor checkup - with Omicron so prevalent, I'll wait in the car and have them call me back indoors when it's my time to go into the exam.

Maybe they'll set up an awning or tent for your surgery, to avoid COVID. It might be a little chilly, but you'll be unconscious . . .

Fun times in Idaho this morning, Mom. I went to put the trashcan and the recycle bin at the curb and while coming back slipped on the ice and fell heavily on the shoulder already slated for surgery.

I went to an Urgent Care place where it was determined that I didn't fracture or dislocate my shoulder. However, I see my physician Tuesday at 10:20 a.m.

This is getting old...and quite painful.
