I'm well entertained with the Russian screw up sub plot of everytime Putin tried to avoid a tremendous Trump flub by sending him into altered time, including Donald admiting to colluding with the Russians, a quantum effect of leaving a bit of presidential neurons neither here nor there results in Trump becoming progressively more stupid as evidenced by his tweets and behavior.

As spy novels go, the fact that Russia is known for its monumental fuck ups, the plot goes far beyond Russian highjinks and plunges headlong into irreparable time disasters.

Perhaps most people don't know of at least 6 cities/regions that have disappeared or are uninhabitable inside Russia. This alone would make the novel worthwhile.

Photon/light bends due to gravity. You could think that a light, since it's on a speed of light, must be frozen in time relative to us. Therefore, the gravity will also freeze and will not affect the light.
We can and have frozen the speed of light. Freezing gravity in a similar way may not be possible if it is an emergent force from a combination of other forces. But if it is not...you would not see the alterations in Space time or time gravity.

Those calling for violent reaction to change have no idea what they are asking for. From what I have seen they are soldierboy-wannabees with no experience of actual warfare and few are even qualified as trained Chaplain's Assistants. There is no experience there comparable to Marcus Reno's being splattered with the brains of the man next to him in the Greasy Grass fight, or actually killing someone, or smelling the odor of Death sitting in the grass, or even being shot at with intent to kill. I was today thrown out of hand therapy and the surgeon's office. He probably will never see me again (he's retiring the end of the month). On my "get outa here sheet" he wrote "healed." I wasn't heeled as I see no point to packing heat, but if he said I was I guess I am. Part of the way home I got a call from the hand therapy people that they were cancelling the rest of my appointments. I don't know what I did to offend them.

I had to cut PT short by several weeks because of the rise of COVID-19, so am hoping scar tissue doesn't become a problem to have to treat later. PT keeps in from forming.

I've fiddled with the computer this week in an attempt to set up a way to capture a film being played on my computer. Darned thing won't let me make a full length mp4 for playing on other devices, it's double layer so it stops encoding about 2/3 of the way through, and you know how it is, once you can't do something you waste time and money trying to prove you can do it. I spent $19 updating the media player in my computer and downloaded a new capture program, when it turns out I could have bought the darned film for $9 on Amazon and they've digitized it.

This morning I went to cardiac rehab at the hospital. NO PARKING anywhere except outside the Emergency Room and I can't, in good conscience, part there unless I need to use it. So I didn't get to cardiac rehab.

Why all the parking slots filled? Because the hospital was ribbon-cutting a new link in the "greenway" walking trail around the city. I couldn't go to exercise because of a link for exercise!

I successfully found (after searching the garage several times) and installed a loosely-woven nylon/polyester outdoor tarp (Harbor Freight) on the patio cover so the sun won't beat on the back door so brutally. And with that success, I feel like I must go outside and move some more things around. There is a rain barrel that is full but hasn't been used in ages (it needs a mosquito dunk again) and a bit of the garden that must be dug up or tilled. I could stay put for a while and this urge would pass, but I think I'll act on it today. MOM's just hanging out on the glider on the front porch, waving at cars that pass by.

Well, we're recovering from a hangover of sorts. Yesterday we got the decision from the State Board of Tax Appeals on the 40% assessment increase we were awarded last year. The BTA agreed with us and accepted the figure we proposed. In the process they ripped the Assessor a brand new orifice as they did, we have since found out, in several other decisions. AAAAND this year's assessment is 55% over last year's uncorrected assessment! We're hitting the ol' Appeal Trail agin!

Don, I'm too far inland for storm surge to be a problem. Weather Underground is only predicting about four inches of rain over the next few days where I live (but they've been wrong before).
