The wind in the wires made a tattle-tale sound And a wave broke over his railing And every man knew, as the Donald did too T'was the witch of November come stealin' The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait When campaigns of November came slashin' When afternoon came votes felt like freezin' rain In the face of a hurricane west wind When suppertime came, the old cook came in sayin' "Fellas, it's too late to feed ya" At seven PM, the election caved in, he said "Fellas, it's been good to know ya" Then Rudy phoned in he had bad news comin' in And the campaign and crew was in peril And later that night when his lights went outta sight Came the wreck of the Donald J Trump run Does any one know where the love of God goes When the truth turns the minutes to hours? The broadcaster all say if he had more votes that day If they'd put fifteen more States behind him They might have split up or they might have capsized They may have broke deep and went to jail And all that remains is the faces and the names Of the wives and the sons and the daughters Internet rolls, television sings In the rooms of his golf resort mansion Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams The islands and bays are for sportsmen And farther below Mason Dixon Takes in what history sends her And candidates go as the politicos all know With campaigns of November remembered In a musty old hall in old Queens they prayed In the maritime sailors' cathedral The church bell chimed 'til it rang twenty-nine times For each man on the Donald Trump ticket The legend lives on from Manhatten on down Of the big lie they called lets play dirty America, they said, never gives up her dead When campaigns of November come early |

It MEASURES a combination of auditing, GSR, Kirlian photography of fingertips, and BP. The higher the reading the more untrustworthy/distrust score. If the Kirlian photo shows lines curling back to the fingers and not radiating outward it is a high score. Corporate America was wild about lie detectors into the 70s. |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 17 May 23 - 09:39 AM It was the sound hoofbeats, Hoofbeats on the cobbled street Ringing ever louder That made the bold Rapaire retreat. He'd heard the deaths of bandits Of bandits drawn and quartered Often glorified in song And he nearly lost his water. He put up his sword and pistol An old pistol, black and long And he headed for the basement stairs And dragged his Mom along. They quarreled down in that basement The moldy basement, dank and cold Flinching from those hoofbeats And feeling frail, and old. So ends the glorious story Highwayman's story, rich with lies Hiding in a dingy basement From hoofbeats which never quite go by. A copied Amos post on MOAB |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Stilly River Sage Date: 12 May 23 - 07:20 PM I think my friend spent around $12,000 on hers 20 years ago? They have never been cheap. She finishes quilts for people as well as doing her own. If you read the instructions on regular sewing machines there is a "darning" setting where you drop the feed dogs that can let you do this kind of work on small pieces. |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 10 May 23 - 01:47 PM As you know some long arms have programmable features that are complex but that does not mean it can save prep and sizing time of fabric. here is a basic link https://thequiltshow.com/see-quilts/featured-quilts/fabulous-welcome-brigitte-villeneuve-diane-cote-doris-boivin#gallery But I could send personal phone pictures by e-mail that could be manipulated at will. Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Stilly River Sage Date: 10 May 23 - 12:09 PM I won't dismiss your cellulitis info (I hope no one here has it) but back to the quilt - thanks for sharing the link, I wasn't finding a way to enlarge the one connected with the museum itself. When the longarm machine is used (I have a friend with one, but it's out in West Texas so I haven't been by to see how it works) is the whole work programmed or does a person stand by and direct the stitching as it happens? Or both. It seems possible to end up off target and not have the outlines you want unless someone operates it manually? I'm told those long arm devices are very expensive. My friend bought hers about 20 years ago, and I think it's still going strong. Takes up an entire outbuilding on their property. |
Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 10 May 23 - 08:12 AM Patients with a history of cellulitis, particularly of the lower limbs, have an estimated recurrence rate of 8–20%.12 Patients with recurrent cellulitis should be carefully evaluated for any predisposing factors such as lower limb edema, lymphoedema, dermatitis, tinea pedis, and measures taken to address them. Patients with three to four episodes of cellulitis per year despite addressing predisposing factors could be considered for prophylactic antimicrobial therapy so long as those factors persist. A randomised controlled trial of phenoxymethylpenicillin prophylaxis in patients with a history of recurrent cellulitis showed a reduced rate of recurrence in the treatment group with a hazard ratio of 0.55 The recurrence is due to dozens or hundreds of encapsulated strep or staff that can leak into the surrounding tissue. When those pockets progress deep into the body it can be life-threatening. This reminds me of King Henry the 8th and a usual suspect. |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Rapparee Date: 08 May 23 - 07:05 AM An inquiry was made. The quilt in question uses stitching, appliqué, piecework, photo transfer, and painting—pretty much all the techniques and is a beautiful example of making them work together. |
Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Rapparee Date: 07 May 23 - 08:14 AM I asked two quilt and textile experts. The both said “paint and photo transfer, then the image quilted to basting and back.” It’s still a quilt. |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Rapparee Date: 06 May 23 - 12:51 PM Appliqué is stitched. It it one shape stitched to another piece of cloth. A good quilter/appliquerer can put 50 stitches to the inch and a long-arm machine can do more. |

The effect is much nicer than a mosaic. |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Rapparee Date: 01 May 23 - 09:02 PM Tomorrow morning I go out to the shooting range to teach a woman how to use a .32ACP Beretta Bobcat (Model 2032). She's a single mom and manages the bar and dining facilities at the Elks Lodge. She WANTS to learn, so I'll teach. I'll teach her safety and the legalities of gun ownership as well as how to hit what she shoots at. Her daughter, while in college in Portland and working at Alberson's supermarket, had to tase three different people (she moves to Moscow this fall). I will take a lever action .22 rifle, a bolt action 5.56x45mm rifle, two 9mm semiautomatic pistols, and two .22 Long Rifle revolvers. My intent is to acquaint her with different firearms so she can know how to use them safely and without fear. I have been shooting for 66 years come September. I have all my life advocated rational gun control. If my being a gun owner bothers you, I shan't apologize as I find competition shooting at targets (paper, etc.) a good sport where I compete against me. |
Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 01 May 23 - 07:04 PM From Newtown to 63 dead in Los Vegas to the gun crises today I recall old dude, a gun enthusiast, calling for gun reform. Is it my peculiar memory or is it an ultimate not caring by an otherwise kind and funny eldest son? Sincerely, Mom |
