Since the lie detector caught on like wildfire
in the US but not in Europe I shall invent the GW trustometer. It MEASURES a combination of auditing, GSR, Kirlian photography of fingertips, and BP. The higher the reading the more untrustworthy/distrust score. If the Kirlian photo shows lines curling back to the fingers and not radiating outward it is a high score.

I think my friend spent around $12,000 on hers 20 years ago? They have never been cheap. She finishes quilts for people as well as doing her own. If you read the instructions on regular sewing machines there is a "darning" setting where you drop the feed dogs that can let you do this kind of work on small pieces.

As you know some long arms have programmable features that are complex but that does not mean it can save prep and sizing time of fabric.

I won't dismiss your cellulitis info (I hope no one here has it) but back to the quilt - thanks for sharing the link, I wasn't finding a way to enlarge the one connected with the museum itself.

When the longarm machine is used (I have a friend with one, but it's out in West Texas so I haven't been by to see how it works) is the whole work programmed or does a person stand by and direct the stitching as it happens? Or both. It seems possible to end up off target and not have the outlines you want unless someone operates it manually?

I'm told those long arm devices are very expensive. My friend bought hers about 20 years ago, and I think it's still going strong. Takes up an entire outbuilding on their property.

The recurrence is due to dozens or hundreds of encapsulated strep or staff that can leak into the surrounding tissue. When those pockets progress deep into the body it can be life-threatening. This reminds me of King Henry the 8th and a usual suspect.

An inquiry was made. The quilt in question uses stitching, appliqué, piecework, photo transfer, and painting—pretty much all the techniques and is a beautiful example of making them work together.

We have a long arm but an inlaw has a giant long arm.
There is stitching creating a background pattern that is not easily seen. I have never looked this close before. Meanwhile, Linus cloth for blankets occupies 4 rooms.

Appliqué is stitched. It it one shape stitched to another piece of cloth. A good quilter/appliquerer can put 50 stitches to the inch and a long-arm machine can do more.

You may be right. In the close up photo of just one figure it is at least 20 pieces and no micro stitching is visible. The wrinkles in the trousers were a darker shade of 8 pieces. The effect is much nicer than a mosaic.

Tomorrow morning I go out to the shooting range to teach a woman how to use a .32ACP Beretta Bobcat (Model 2032). She's a single mom and manages the bar and dining facilities at the Elks Lodge. She WANTS to learn, so I'll teach. I'll teach her safety and the legalities of gun ownership as well as how to hit what she shoots at. Her daughter, while in college in Portland and working at Alberson's supermarket, had to tase three different people (she moves to Moscow this fall).

I will take a lever action .22 rifle, a bolt action 5.56x45mm rifle, two 9mm semiautomatic pistols, and two .22 Long Rifle revolvers. My intent is to acquaint her with different firearms so she can know how to use them safely and without fear.

I have been shooting for 66 years come September. I have all my life advocated rational gun control. If my being a gun owner bothers you, I shan't apologize as I find competition shooting at targets (paper, etc.) a good sport where I compete against me.
