Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 27 Oct 22 - 05:02 PM Irrespective of philosophical perspectives, the vast majority of physicists and astronomers have followed the evidence to its logical conclusion: the universe had a beginning; there was a Big Bang. Certainly, the James Webb Space Telescope has revealed nothing to overturn this consensus or the considerable body of evidence supporting it. What came before was a quantum sea of potentials. Someday as space stretches out to virtual nothingness it will be a quantum sea again. This suggests a universe capable of rebounding but not from collapse, but from expansion. Dr. Penrose (as clever as Einstein) has said "the universe has no way to know how big or small it is". This is a key to understanding how the size of a mustard seed can become everything. Penrose also won a Nobel Prize for showing how black holes can transmute matter energy into space energy. We are still in the dark ages of turning matter into energy. |
Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Stilly River Sage Date: 27 Oct 22 - 12:49 PM The Big Bang is getting a bit of a re-check with the launch of the new telescope, isn't it? With so little activity (missing Amos every day!) and the old MOAB gone I fear we have dropped way down in our numbers. This should actually show 59138 + 3195 (with this post) or 62,333 posts. How's everything going in Idaho, Rap? Winter arriving yet? Are the golfers using their orange balls on the golf course behind the house? |
Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 27 Oct 22 - 10:33 AM A trillionth of a second or relativity at work??????????? I have for twenty years believed that the idea of inflation after the big bang was BS. The ULTRA DENSE quantum explosion/phase change was hot but was unimaginably dense. If relativity existed from the beginning the mass/pre atoms then gravity would virtually not allow time to move just as time slows to a stop in a black hole. The big bang doesn't need hypothetical inflation since to us it only looks like everything happened faster than possible. In reality, time was simply not moving. As things thinned out enough, time slowly started back up. Cosmological errors are common as guesswork goes but this correction is as simple as I can put it. This is my main unorthodox premise, other things like black holes wormhole mass energy into space energy, and feeding the dark energy of space expansion is also my idea that is yet unprovable. So if relativity existed from the start of the big bang then we don't have to make up inflation to explain the optical illusion. I am also a proponent of primordial black holes. This is my central cosmological contribution no matter how unknown it may remain in the future. It just seems so obvious to me. |

We are poised to be able to break up the OPEC alliance by using alternative methanol fuels of higher octane but lower energy value. Yes, we would require a revamp of vehicles easily. While the Saudis play politics we can lower demand and starve their profit margin. America can save Europe from the denial of Russian oil with natural gas. Sure this plan will have many moving parts but we can cut the Saudis off at the knees, like they did to Jamal Khashoggi. More electric cars will help as well. Russia should have been more careful what they wished for, (Like another Trump win) |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 25 Oct 22 - 09:00 PM I lived on Normal Avenue because it was between 12th and 14th street. I have thought that the concept of normal is ephemeral, indistinct, and illusionary. There is no normal. Look outside on a sunny day; the trees are telling the truth, but we can't see why. Why? Because our sun is green. I mean it is really GREEN. Most of its photons are vibrating green. We do not see it due to the atmosphere, light combination, and our eye's anatomy and brain. The trees are protecting themselves from the most prevalent radiation of the sun by reflecting green. Botanists used to say green was not a nourishing spectrum for plants but it is a lame notion. When all the spectrum of light combines we do see a white sun and not just a predominately green sun. People would say it is normal to say the sky is blue but crazy to say the sun is green. But green it is big time, technically. It's just not 'normal' for our eyes to tell the truth. We are blind to the vast majority of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum. We do however see more variations of the color green than any other color by far. |

We may be able to use some of these strange techs decades before we discover why they work. WSFM (weird science and fuckin magic) is the term the CIA uses to describe the most exotic technologies that are kept secret. Dr. Greer says "All can look and see over 5,000 non military patents that are expunged due to national security". Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 22 Oct 22 - 11:26 AM Ya know Rap, I had a CVA event in my late twenties. I heard it pop. Diabetes 2 at 60 with the typical foot neuropathy, tinnitus since my teens due to gunpowder, and PTSD from a schoolyard fight that fractured my skull. I didn't mention migraine, severed nerves etc. These are dented fenders anyone can get! I have never claimed a disability. If I had shrapnel from war or long-term PTSD it would be a different story. Fighting for medical assistance is valiant! But you might be virtually trained and accustomed or addicted to 'disability status. You are clearly doing something right. Considering the alternatives you have much to be thankful for. How well you heal/adjust might just be a matter of genes (or the right magic foods). I might look 20 years younger than my age but that was from avoiding the sun or plain damn luck. If agent orange had done its worst I'm betting you would not be here. Face it buddy you are made of stronger stuff. |
Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Rapparee Date: 21 Oct 22 - 09:18 PM Service connected disabilities. I've fought long and hard to get to 80% -- Type 2 diabetes, mental stuff, peripheral neuropathy in both feet, CVA, tinnitus. They are fighting the after-effects of stroke and hypertension due to Agent Orange ("The Gift That Keeps On Giving"). You see, the VBA (Veterans Benefits Administration) doesn't talk with the VHA (Veterans Health Administration). It is said that every morning the workers in the VBA get into a huddle, they all grasp each others' hand, stand up straight and shout their warcry, "Deny! Deny! Deny Until They Die!" This finishes with a cheer and they dash off to their "DENIED!" stamps. You see, my disabilities taken singly and added total 140 percent. But because of the way disabilities are figured I need another 40 percent. For example, if you have a leg blown off by a land mine, you're considered 40% disabled. Losing both would make you 60% disabled. I have no idea how this rating schedule was determined, but I doubt that it was done by double amputees and it's been in place for a very long time. |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Stilly River Sage Date: 21 Oct 22 - 10:11 AM Rap, what are the VA folks trying to not claim is 100%? Disability from what? This from the Elon Musk article: Burnt Hair will be shipped in the first quarter of 2023, and the 20,000 people who’ve bought it will have to wait till then to figure out what it smells like. If the name is any indication, anyone who’s blow dried or ironed their hair will have a fair idea. So, are we just gullible/starstruck/in love with the smell of burnt hair? Do we want to experience what Musk puts on The Boring Company website, “Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work.” Is it really hard work to put together a candle-lit dinner and lean over it? It seems the timing for a knockoff of his "burnt hair" scent would be now. Anyone want to brew something out behind the Legion Hovel? |

Subject: RE: MOAB - Mother of All BS [annex] From: Donuel Date: 13 Oct 22 - 07:25 AM I met my neighbor after two years. A major branch fell across the street narrowly missing my neighbor's car. When I checked later some unknown samaritan had dragged it across the street and put it in my yard. Not taking into account that the thing was nearly 400 lbs, I took it back across the street beneath the tree that had broken. I rang the bell and let the neighbor know of the situation and was greeted with "You are a complete stranger to me". I said of course that is because I am your neighbor, he demanded "What is your name"? It was about then I had a high blood pressure event and could not catch my breath. I replied succinctly I am your neighbor and I can not deal with this branch. "I didn't put it in your yard..." Gasping, Good, I can't deal with it now. "What is your name?" ... Its Neighbor, as I went back across the street to take some aspirin and catch my breath. So much for gentile introductions, I met the neighbor. |
