Don't know if I'm allowed to mention names on Mudcat but here goes. There is a firm advertising on facebook and the internet. They are pushing their wireless instrument systems. Their name begins with A and ends in O.I bought their guitar system and it does not work. Eight emails later looking for replacement or refund and no reply. Be warned!

these new dinky ones are very good ..much better than the ones available a few years back. much cheaper as well. Sorry you've had a bum steer.

I bought one of the “Smoothhound” ones at a guitar show a couple of years ago from the chap that designed them. Works fine, nicely made, only criticism is that the transmitter battery door looks a bit flimsy. It’s never caused a problem and the jobby would still work even if it dropped off. They’re made somewhere foreign called “England”!

A search for "Amposo" returned a number of hits, mainly sites questioning its legitimacy. Unfortunately it appears to be a complete scam. If the gadget had cost £75 or more, at least paying by credit card would have given you some protection, unfortunately that's not the case here. So sorry to say, the OP has lost his money.

The only suggestion I can make to all is to look at some of the whistleblower sites, they give some good tips on how to spot a likely fraud.

There are numerous similar looking cheap wireless guitar systems.
Some of the unknown brands might be exactly the same device as those sold badged under more familiar budget priced brand names.

Amongst these Xvive seem to have gained more positive approval on guitar forums.

I took a risk on a massively discounted flash deal on JOYO
(a very well-known Chinese budget FX pedal brand) wireless plugs.
These were too hissy for my liking,
So I never bothered using them again...

Why not buy from well-known, reputable manufacturers? Cheap gear isn't even worth the small amount you pay for it.

well to be honest that isn't really my experience.

two or three years agoi bought a really expensive system from kine 6. it was dreadful. cost a fortune and if anyone walked in frony of you, it cut out, to be honest i abandoned that act because it was such a pile of shit.

these new ones - i only know about them because someone infiltrated my facebook page with an advert for one that looked really cool. it was £45 pouns. it was a risk i had no idea if it woukd work so i looked for a similar produxt, found one ten quid crks fineheaper. its enough to risk.

happily it works.
one of the many problems with the music industry is that there are too many people who think the musician owes them a living. these same shops with the fancy prices are loathe to accept responsibility if the unit doesn't work.
to stay in business is the aim for most musicians - not great weakth. you simply cant afford to give over the odds for incidentals like this. ,

Forgot to mention,The firm are Amposo but the box says Airbridge and the units are branded Cuvave. Reputable firms don't operate this way.

Fasteddy - it sounds most likely that a wannabe get rich quick internet entrepreneur
has bought a bulk order of OEM cheap Chinese wireless devices.
Rebadged them with his own fly-by-night 'brand name',
bought some advertising on the web,
priced them as high as he thinks he can get away with;
and is hoping for luck and enough suckers for it all to pay off...

There's a lot of this going on with 'cheaper' music gear...

AKG, Audio Technica, Shure, and Electro-Voice all have systems that are dependable, versatile, and reasonably priced.

The cheap systems are convenient for trying out at home,
if fed up with cables tangling up feet and chair legs...
But this is outweighed by the bulky fragile plastic transmitter cases
that can get knocked, break, and damage guitar jack plugs...

The JOYO I bought was an impulse novelty purchse at a very low clearance price.
JOYO is a reputable buget price brand,
but imho this product would be a big disapointment if purchased at full retail price...

Anyone intending to gig wirelessly really shouldn't waste money on these cheaper transmitter systems...

I bought a set that looks like the ones mentioned. They seem to work fine so far. I’ve played a couple of large shows with them. Don’t know how they will last.

I too saw the ads on FB and looked to see what they were about. They were asking 70 USD for them. The odd thing was that the name of the company didn’t match the logo on the pictured units. So I did a Web search for the name (Muslady) that was on the pictured units and found them for $25.00. I was willing to risk that much so I order them. I think they were shipped from China. They were certainly made there. They were nicely packaged in a box with the name Airbridge but the units are labeled Muslady as I expected.

I’m guessing these are being sold under many different names all over the world at widely varying prices. I didn’t think of them as a long term investment, just a cheap way to try out the concept. I’ll probably go with a more professional alternative in the future. I plug it into my LR Baggs Venue DI.

Having seen a set by Donner in action over the weekend ( the dws 1 version) I have been looking to see what is out there. The dws 3 system appeals more as the battery life is claimed to be longer and I would be happier with a longer duration.
Has anyone else used these systems with concertinas? Any special problems?
