Thanks for the heads up on this. I might even make the trip up north to see it.

Not often you hear south london described as up north!
Whereabouts are you Rain Dog: Kent? Sussex?

If you want to see Martin Simpson you might be unfortunate enough to hear me playing a short set just before him, circa 4pm.

It just happens to be our last day in London before we go to Paris.

We'll be there for sure

Cheers

Bugsy

Looking forward to it.

And a very good day it was; well done Matt Milton, who had to play between the sets of mess'rs. Simpson and Irvine!

thanks richard. they moved me around a bit but it turned out to be the best support slot of the afternoon timing-wise in the end!
(albeit slightly intimidating)
Wish I'd taken my guitar with a built-in pickup though.

It was an enjoyable day and a nice crowd. Did think the sound could have better. By the end of the day with all the chat going on in the crowd it was not so easy to hear the performers.

Apart from that the only other minus was the slow service on the beer stall. If they had been a bit better organised they would have sold a lot more beer. At £ 5.00 a pint I should be grateful that the service was slow. The prices some of you northerners pay for your beer....

Have to admit that you did confuse me Matt. When you said you were on before Martin Simpson I got the idea that you were part of the Morris group. I did get a weird look when I asked one of them which one was Matt.

All in all it was well worth the trip.
