Sorry to say I lost my bo'sun's whistle, which I had in the Sea Rangers and could "Pipe the Side" - pretty ear-splitting. Still have my Girl Guide whistle which is almost as effective.

In my car I keep a bi tonal UK police whistle and a US winter ball police whistle. It worked in the movie Titanic.
