Subject: RE: Lyr Req: The Old Half Moon to The Rising Sun From: Reinhard Date: 06 Dec 19 - 02:47 PM Some but not all verses are printed in the sleeve notes on Arky's Toast's LP: Let's hope that we shall meet again, And drink in social glasses, And our toast be to Charlwood's honest men And Charlwood's bonnie lasses. And so we'll walk that dusty road, That's the longest in the land, From the old Half Moon, to the Rising Sun With our pint pots in our hands. And when soon or late we reach that coast O'er life's rough ocean driven, May we rejoice no wanderer lost A family in Heaven. Give us strong drink until we wink When we're sinking in despair And liquor good to fire our blood When depressed with grief and care. Let us booze and deep carouse With bumpers flowing o'er, Till we forget our loves and debts And minds our griefs no more. |
