Subject: Unusual collaboration From: Dave the Gnome Date: 04 Dec 19 - 01:21 PM Two very well known artists, Marc Almond and Ian Anderson. Marc, best known for Soft Cell, also did a good job with some Jacques Brel songs. Ian Anderson, founder member of Jethro Tull, has collaborated with lots of people, including many folk artists. While this song is nothing like folk it does have the folkloric title Lord of Misrule. I enjoyed the song. Would need to listen to a few more off the album before I bought it but it certainly goes on my Spotify playlist. Scary video though so tale care when you click! I did find out after watching that Marc had featured with Jethro Tull some years back but this was the first I had seen. Spotted Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris down the list so checking that out next :-) Enjoy. |
