RE Dave the Gnome's question "is it folk" - no, I would say it isn't, however I would have a guess that Linda's music may well have found its way into many a folkie's record collection during the 70s (certainly did mine!). Just good music sung with heart and passion, and a tremendous voice! And if you have not heard Linda sing with just an acoustic guitar, you should. (There is a youtube clip I can put up a link to if you wish).

Of course not forgetting the whole Troubadour scene in LA of which Linda was a part, a blend of folk and country (and a little rock and roll), that gave birth to a lot of "folk related" stuff - Jackson Browne, Eagles, Linda among them...
