I'm surprised this hasn't already been mentioned (perhaps it has?) but, for those that missed it, here's a 'heads-up' for a wonderful re-imagining of Barbara Euphon Todd's Worzel Gummidge with a cracking soundtrack by The Unthanks.

Yes - wonderful, from the brilliant Mackenzie Crook. The Unthanks work makes a great soundtrack too, as did Gilhooley & Tidow's song for the excellent Gentleman Jack.

I agree that Mackenzie Crook is talented. I enjoyed the music on 'The Detectorists' as well.

It was very well done - not easy when there was a previous adaptation with Jon Pertwee which was also excellent.

Great programme! Nice to see Worzel with a proper ‘brain’ and thankful that the Unthanks finally invested in a pitch corrector!

Does anyone know if "Mother Carey", as sung by Vanessa Redgrave and Shirley Henderson in the "Saucy Nancy" episode, has been recorded?

I know the Cecily Fox Smith poem has been set before, but I am particular interested in this version set to Adrian McNally's tune.
