Suzanne Cloud just wrote this nice article about the podcast that I do with Rodney Whittenberg called http://mftnr.com , about music and social justice.

We've been short of protest songs these days, though Randy Rainbow and his Lehrer-esque reworkings of show songs stands out. Popular performers do write them, I just don't listen to that part of the radio dial to pick them up and make note here at Mudcat.

I am thrilled to see extraorinary common sense triumph.

This contribution by Mr. Klevins is the foundation of a lifetime of social justice awareness by targeting children 7-20. In my life those formative years became the core of who I am and how I think.

Musically trained minds last beyond all other modes of memory..

Congratulations

While I would never suggest that ages 1-6 are not critical in learning music, I merely think empathy training is more appropriate to speak of than social justice.
SRS Randy is a hoot.
