Subject: RE: Terry Silver - accident? From: Manitas_at_home Date: 22 Jan 20 - 05:54 AM Terry's car broke down and while he was on the hard shoulder a passing lorry hit it and propelled it into him. I understand he may have life changing injuries. People had been asked not to post this on public forums in case someone found out his house was empty. |

Subject: RE: Terry Silver - accident? From: GUEST,maeve Date: 22 Jan 20 - 02:06 PM While it is understood many of us are concerned about Terry, the family has clearly specified no social media. Phone and email, OK. Please consider not continuing this thread until family sends their OK. It really is serious and this request really is for good cause. Thank you.

Subject: Terry Silver (Leadfingers) From: GUEST,moira Date: 25 Jan 20 - 06:06 AM Terry's family has now started to make public about His accident o from them. FOR ANYONE WHO KNOWS TERRY SILVER - it is now in the public arena that Terry had a terrible accident (no-one's fault) when his car broke down, and a lorry hit or clipped his car while Terry was in front of his car on the hard shoulder. I'm posting this as originally the family asked for nothing to be posted on social media, so many of Terry's friends and acquaintences won't know. However, his sister-in-law has just posted this update on Terry's facebook page which will update everyone: "There are so many of you wishing Terry well. I've decided the easiest way to keep you all informed is to post updates on Terry's timeline. At present he is on Trauma Ward B5 in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Physically he is improving and managed to sit out of bed for a short while today and also walk with a walker in the ward. Amazing considering his injuries. There are plans, when he is well enough, to transfer him to The Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge but not yet. We will see him this weekend and report next week." |

Subject: RE: Terry Silver (Leadfingers) From: Richard Atkins Date: 25 Jan 20 - 08:12 PM Having known Terry for over 30 years devastating news for me and us. All love and wishes to him on a long recovery now I think I was surprised by the (no-one's fault) in the message. On the hard shoulder on a motorway. The driver should be prosecuted for driving without due care and attention with an insurance claim later to aid his claim in future for help care perhaps. Terry keep a diary for that now to use it later perhaps then Fond thoughts Richard and Hils |
