Just been emailed by Dawsons they have knocked down the price of some decent mics 60% lower..

If you fancy some new gigging gear it might be worth a look,
and googling if other shops are doing similar at lower prices..

Not necessarily, I get daily bargain/offers emails from loads of music gear manufacturers and online retailers...

Occasionally I think some might be useful for folkies,
as grumpily ungrateful as the replies can usually be..

But it don't bother me, as long as someone might read and take advantage,
even if they don't post in the threads..


If our band was still gigging, I'd definitely take an interest in googling info on these mics...

I've lost my links from previous years, so thanks for that..

Those Golden Records tracks were an interesting subject,
but I've forgotten all my research on them,
and I think my notes went several years ago with a Hard Drive fatal crash..

I don't know if they ever ended up on CD...???

I just love the sound and arrangement of that version...
A while ago I got another fairly good condition copy of that record off ebay,
But I haven't had a working turntable for over 30 years...

LOL, what's a turntable? That was just plain bad thinking on the music industry's part (sorry to lump it all together). All that existing vinyl and no turntables to listen to 'em with.
