Just read on the Whitby Folk Festival FB site that mine host of The Elsinore, Len McKnight has passed away.

I didn't know him very well but he always seemed to be a very genuine and friendly guy and very supportive of all forms of live music.

Well loved by Folkies and Goths alike.

RIP. Len McKnight, he did so much to support all kinds of music in Whitby and always ran a great pub. I worked with Len before he went into the pub trade, such sad news.
