Surprised that this hasn't surfaced on here.

Folk On Foot: Front Room Festival
from 2pm on Easter Monday, 13th April 2020

https://www.folkonfoot.com/festival

Help us to stage an amazing virtual folk festival on Easter Bank Holiday Monday – and support musicians who’ve lost their livelihoods during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Lineup: Bella Hardy, Beth Porter plus the Bookshop Band, Jon Boden, Julie Fowlis and Éamon Doorley, Karine Polwart, Kerry Andrew (You Are Wolf), Kris Drever, Lisa Knapp and Gerry Diver, Martin Simpson, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan, Peggy Seeger, Rachel Newton, Sam Lee, Seth Lakeman and Steve Knightley - all playing sets of up to 30 minutes each in their front rooms.

When: Easter Bank Holiday Monday 13th April from 2pm for over six hours of unique music.

She says ...

"I’ve bitten the bullet and as a result I’m part of a seven-and-a-half hour concert going out on Easter Monday, April 13, details below. I chose to sing seven chorus songs that you can join in on, songs for age groups roughly from 3 years to however old you are. You can download the lyrics and sing along if you want. I will be on at 7.45pm (British Summer Time - GMT+1) but I urge you to watch as much of the day’s programme as you can as there are wonderful artists participating throughout the festival."

We tried to alert the Australian folkies about this via Facebook - but all posts were deleted. I guess the Ossies don't like Brit. folk anymore.

I watch many videos on YouTube but can someone please tell me (and anyone else who is confused) how to watch a live performance. Once I know how I will be happy to put some money towards it.

From the URL above
https://mailchi.mp/peggyseeger/folk-on-foot-front-room-festival-3849993
"Live streaming links:" > "YouTube" links to https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8nQCZ9ER-susGQhrRXKoxg
which makes no mention of live streaming.

Somebody please tell me how to watch this afternoon.

If I need to contribute money first, please say so.

Richard just go here at 2pm https://youtu.be/-Bt748vylnU

SB I posted about this previously in my thread about online performances this weekend which hardly anyone has responded to! There was also the amazing We Shall Overcome Festival on Saturday that has so far raised over £27k for work with homeless people. Videos from the festival are still live in the Facebook group and the donation link is still open

i watched the first two performers, and then left. Martin Simpson was better but a minor criticism the balance between his guitar and voicewas incorrect, the guitar was marginally too loud, i noticed too how he sings not using his diasphragm but from his throat, his throat muscles were painful to watch.
but then i suppose he is an instrumentaliast first and foremost
Richard is making a valid point of course it is not live, its prerecorded

I wasn't keen on the first performer either Dick. There were some excellent spots later in the day though notably by Karine Polwart, Jon Boden, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan (set of the day) and Steve Knightley

15 April 2020 11pm BBC Radio 2 The Folk Show with Mark Radcliffe Folk on Foot's Front Room Festival

This week, Mark presents highlights from live concerts filmed inside artists' homes, for the Front Room Festival. The online event was curated by Matthew Bannister and the team behind his award-winning Folk on Foot podcast.

Karine Polwart, Peggy Seeger, Martin Simpson, Kris Drever and Nancy Kerr & James Fagan are among the featured acts, whose performances were streamed online during Easter Monday 2020.

Folk on Foot's Front Room Festival is one of many internet-based responses to the UK's Covid-19 lockdown, which has seen countless festivals and concerts cancelled or postponed, leaving thousands of musicians without an income. Also this week, Mark pays tribute to the late John Prine.

I've watched some of it so far. I have found more than one performer's words hard to make out because of poor diction and/or instrument louder than voice. Despite being mostly underwhelmed I have chucked in some money, as it's certainly a good cause.
