Subject: ADD: Storms Never Last (Jessi Colter) From: Joe Offer Date: 26 Apr 20 - 09:18 PM STORMS NEVER LAST (Jessi Colter) Storms never last, do they, baby? Bad times all pass with the winds; Your hand in mine stills the thunder, You make the sun want to shine. Oh, I have followed you down so many roads, baby, I picked wild flowers and sung you soft, sad songs; And every road we took, God knows our search was for the truth, And the storm brewing now won't be the last. Storms never last, do they, baby? Bad times all pass with the winds; Your hand in mine stills the thunder, You make the sun want to shine. Storms never last, do they, baby Bad times all pass with the winds; Your hand in mine stills the thunder, You make the sun want to shine. You make the sun want to shine. Storms never last do they baby Source: LyricFind Songwriters: Jessi Colter Storms Never Last lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group Live performance by Waylon Jennings and his wife, Jessi Colter: Studio performance by Waylon & Jessi: Recording by John Prine and Lee Ann Womack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gL5VXpPvIHc In 1969 Jessi Colter (born Mirriam Johnson) met and married Waylon Jennings. At this time, Colter adopted her stage name, Jessi Colter. She chose the name based on a story her father has once told her about an accomplice of Jesse James, Jesse Colter. Colter then moved to Nashville, Tennessee, with Jennings. Colter and Jennings had one son, Waylon Albright "Shooter" Jennings (born May 19, 1979). In the early 1980s, Colter and Jennings nearly divorced due to his addiction to drugs and other forms of substance abuse. However, they remained together until Jennings's death in 2002. |
