Subject: Tape Cassette by group Aisling, Susan Gu From: GUEST,Lin Date: 26 Apr 20 - 10:32 PM Years ago I had a tape cassette by a group called Aisling and it was called "Maidin." There was a wonderful singer named Susan Guiney who had an absolutely lovely voice. This tape got lost years ago so I don't know any other band member's names. I tried doing a search by typing in the group name, Aisling and title of album Maidin. Also did a search for the singer, Susan Guiney. No luck. There is a Susan Guiney who works as an educator and another one a doctor I think but no mention of someone who is a singer or a musician. I really want to find a copy of this tape, I think from the 1980's but don't know the exact year. The cover had a drawing of a lady on the front. There is an incredible cover of the song, "Skibbereen" sung by Susan Guiney. If anyone has a copy they could sell to me, I would appreciate it very much, or made to a CD. I am in California. Thank you, Lin |
Subject: RE: Tape Cassette by group Aisling, Susan Gu From: cnd Date: 27 Apr 20 - 12:16 AM The album is by Aisling called Maidin released as Woodenship 802 in 1988 (source The link above mentions a man by the name of Dirk Morrison and gives a Glendale, CA address and a phone number. You could try writing/calling and hope they're still the same? Otherwise, I'm coming up with naught. |

Anyway, I tried clicking on the word "source" you wrote but nothing happened. Could you please resend if there are more words to this link? The only word that was highlighted was "source" but it wouldn't take me to another page. Thanks, Lin |

Link was https://www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Billboard/80s/1988/BB-1988-09-03.pdf Referenced text is on page 71, almost directly in the center of the page. |
