Bonz - from my point of view it became too long winded, repetitive, and boring
to face up to reading any of it anymore...

If it achieved some positive recognition for that young singer, that's fair enough..

Hopefully it don't depress him so much he jacks it in...

Probably because it was turning into the same old same old. Any attempt at raising awareness of interesting young artists gets attacked by the old guard. Sad but inevitable. Anyway it did remind me to catch up with the some of the CCC festival instead of the ever more obsequious news on BBC this morning so that's definitely a good thing.
