Subject: Hope for folk music - why closed? From: Bonzo3legs Date: 20 May 20 - 11:27 AM Why was the last thread closed? Is Carroll a mod or does he hold influence over mods? Unbelievable |
Subject: RE: Hope for folk music - why closed? From: punkfolkrocker Date: 20 May 20 - 11:32 AM Bonz - from my point of view it became too long winded, repetitive, and boring to face up to reading any of it anymore... If it achieved some positive recognition for that young singer, that's fair enough.. Hopefully it don't depress him so much he jacks it in... |

Subject: RE: Hope for folk music - why closed? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 20 May 20 - 12:14 PM Music threads can be attacked by troll "Guests", Bonzo. That may have happened here but your best idea is to ask Joe Offer in a PM. |
Subject: RE: Hope for folk music - why closed? From: Joe G Date: 20 May 20 - 12:24 PM Probably because it was turning into the same old same old. Any attempt at raising awareness of interesting young artists gets attacked by the old guard. Sad but inevitable. Anyway it did remind me to catch up with the some of the CCC festival instead of the ever more obsequious news on BBC this morning so that's definitely a good thing. |

From: gillymor Date: 20 May 20 - 12:27 PM AFAIC if you could step around the rhetorical cowpies it was one of the most interesting threads I've seen around here lately. Just guessing, but the thread that was started about Jon Doran ceased being about him. |
