Thanks, Masato, I'll see if that info helps my friend, although my system doesn't recognise the format the tune is in in the Cyber Hymnal. I suspect it's probably the Edwin Hawkins version she's after, but will hopefully see her tonight to make sure. Thanks again.

Sheet music (by Edwin Hawkins) is also in Gospel & Inspirational Showstoppers (CPP/Belwin, pp, 278-280). Dodridge and Rimbault's original "O Happy Day (That Fix My Choice)" is (CyberHymnal).

You can get the lyrics, score and accompaniment tape at your local Christian Book Supply Store. The music can also be found in the Bill Gaither Homecoming Souvenir Songbook Vol. II (the book is red in color).

Hi - You didn't say which "O Happy Day" but here's the Hawkins version which appears based on the Doddridge/Rimbault version.
