Subject: RE: Jacqui (Jacquie and Bridie) on Radio 4 From: GUEST,Clive Pownceby Date: 23 Jun 20 - 06:57 PM What amazed me was the fact that presenter Winifred Robinson, born in Liverpool in the late '50s had never heard of her! quote "what you used to sing with the Spinners?" I should've thought that Jacquie and Bridie's names and the club they ran had a fair old profile back in the day. I suppose we should be grateful that Winifred HAD heard of the Spinners! |

An integral part of the folk scene in Liverpool Winifred Robinson is from Norris Green (Close to my Mum's)which explains a lot. She has done several really good programmes about Liverpool over the years. |
