Subject: RE: Folklore: Books of folktales about the devil? From: Joe Offer Date: 25 Jun 20 - 08:27 PM Take a look at the Book of Job in the Bible. The first and second chapters and the last one, are a Hebrew folktale that is munch older and much more interesting than the rest of the book. It's colorful and quite humorous. In the Hebrew Scriptures, Satan is a clever trickster with a sense of humor, not at all like the evil, horrible personage portrayed by Dante in the Divine Comedy. Take the time to read those three chapters. They're fun. -Joe- |
