Subject: Joe Don't Let the Music Kill You From: arkie Date: 06 Jan 00 - 01:07 PM Hit some button before I finished the title of the first thread so will try another one. What I was trying to ask was if anyone has the words to the song Joe,Don't Let the Music Kill You. Was recorded by Tom T. Hall and first three lines are: or something like that. I've tried Tom T's site and the data base. It's one of his more obscure pieces but has a sentiment that musicians might find of interest. |

Subject: RE: Joe Don't Let the Music Kill You From: Arkie Date: 06 Jan 00 - 05:22 PM Joe, thanks for the help. I think its a differnt Joe in the song. The music keeps me alive too. And its working on my son and daughter. One is 15 and the other 21 and music is something they share in common. But it ain't my music. I am learning from them though. |

Subject: RE: Joe Don't Let the Music Kill You From: arkie Date: 07 Jan 00 - 01:49 PM Wolfgang - thanks for that note. Got an email from Dale Rose today which also mentioned Billy Joe Shaver. Had not associated the song with him, but it sure works. You got further than I did in your search. |
