Citizen Trump has no federal power and can legally move like a pawn. AG Garland can move like a Queen. Garland announced that since Trump is the one who made the silent search loud he may publicly release what Trump stole. Garland also took respondsibility for the search warrant since the supeona didn't work.
Now Trump has to respond which he can not do. All he can safely do is take the 5th. He can however ask people to riot or attack the FBI which is also a crime.

Discussion this morning of cross-department work regarding a search warrant. One agency (National Archives) want their papers back, another agency (the FBI) has to get it signed off by the director (a Trump appointee) and the head of Justice (Garland) and then in a different branch (judicial) to find a judge who will sign it. Trump could fight it but didn't - it wasn't going to work.

An outgrowth of the Clark-Klukowski letter was a meeting in the Oval Office on January 3, 2021 – just three days before the attack on the Capitol. According to Cheney at the June 23 Committee’s hearing, “Donald Trump offered Mr. Clark the job of Acting Attorney General, replacing Mr. Rosen, with the understanding that Clark would send this letter to Georgia and other states, and take other actions the President requested.” After Trump was advised by acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen and others that top officials at the Justice Department would resign, Trump dropped the plan.

Klukowski had been a writer at the right-wing outlet, Breitbart, which was formerly led by Trump White House advisor, Steve Bannon – who is now facing sentencing in October after being found guilty by a jury of defying a subpoena from the January 6 Committee to testify. Rachel Maddow presented a Justice Department memo last night that was as frank as possible about the department needing to show no hint of political favoritism, but it left standing a rule from Bill Barr that no investigation of presidential candidates was to happen unless it was run by the very top officers and got an response in writing. This was issued in late May. We know the Justice Department still has Trump moles in there so his folks got a copy of this, and it appears the reason he wants to be a candidate so soon is to lessen the possibility of investigation or charges.
