An Ghamhnaichín in lyrics and recording https://muscrai.wordpress.com/2015/06/14/an-ghamhnaichin/

Most of the lyrics in the Songs in Irish website are from Leabhar Mór na hAmhráin,"The big book of songs", a compilation of songs on recordings issued by Cló Iar-Chonnachta.

I saw a comment in another Mudcat discussion ("Favorite Celtic songs for singing")
"Just received a disc by Diarmuid Ó Súilleabháin and the notes to a song "An Gamhnaichín" describe it so: 'This is a hilarious bawdy song which used to be sung by Tadhg Ó Riordáin from Cúil Aodha [Co Cork).' Only the Irish is given,no English translation."

lyrics are at https://songsinirish.com/an-gamhnaichin-lyrics/
I'll have a look at it another day.

sorry, link for An Cocónut lyrics is
http://www.macsuibhne.com/amhran/teacs/9.htm
and here's a clickable link for the recording on youtube

I wonder if you would consider Geaftaí Bhaile Bhuí as "bawdy"? (and by the way, I love the air and would like to have a different set of lyrics in Irish to sing to it, if anyone can suggest something suitable)

And there are lots of songs with erotic content, often quite subtle, which wouldn't be described as "bawdy".

I am not sure whether the silly song about the Coconut is meant to be suggestive or not ...

Joe Heaney sang the song on a Collector 7inch disk. He speaks at the end - "I leave out Saturday night".

I think the song you're looking for is Peigín 's Peadar, sung by Seosamh Ó hÉanaí. It's on his CDs Ó mo dhúcas and Traditional songs in Irish and English. And by the way, the song is incomplete!

Planxty did an English translation of "Cunhla" on one of their albums.

Peter Kennedy put one verse of Colm Keane's 'Our Goodman' on the Rounder CD 'Classic Ballads of Britain & Ireland' - volume 2. It is the verse about the baby having whiskers. Hardly what I would call bawdy. What about Joe Heaney's song 'Cunnla'? It used to be available on a Topic LP, but I'm not too sure where it can be heard today.

A friend is looking, and can't seem to find any. Supposedly Colm Keane had a version of 7 Drunken Nights in Irish Gaelic on a field recording included in The Folk Songs of Britain, but I haven't heard it. Any other examples/ leads come to mind?
