I would like 12-string guitar tab in DADGAD or some other alternative tuning for Wild Mountain Thyme. ^-string would be OK, too, since it can probably be adapted easily. Thanks. Walter

lovely song, Walter, I wish I could help. I don't Tab, and I don't DADGAD, but could help with music if you want.

By the way, did you invent a new instrument??? The ^-string? Is that anything like a guitar?

;-)

however slow it may be, one's own ears are the best way of reading tab

Liam - ^ is a little known but ancient Celtic symbol for 6, as in 6-string guitar? Would you believe a typo? I mainly play 12-string but also have a neat Bozo Podunavac 6-string.

Wild Mountain Thyme

D         G       D
The summertime is coming
       G                D
And the trees are sweetly blooming
       G    D       Bm
And the wild mountain thyme
      G                   Em
Grows around the blooming heather
       D   G      D
Will ye go, Lassie go?

          G       D
And we´ll all go together
       G    D       Bm
To pull wild mountain thyme
    G
All around the blooming heather
       D   G      D
Will ye go, Lassie go?

I will build my love a tower
By yon´ pure crystal fountain
And on it I will build
All the flowers of the mountain
Will ye go, Lassie go?

If my true love she were gone
I would surely find another
To pull wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather
Will ye go, Lassie go?
