Subject: Help: More Questions About Hearme From: Mbo Date: 07 Jan 00 - 03:36 PM OK folks, I need some help with the Hearme thing (which I'm very excited about)...I clicked on Max's link in the original Hearme thread, and the little window popped up, and I downloaded the plug-in. It then told me I was guest number so-and-so...but I'm not sure where it saved the plugin on my hard drive--did it dowload something I could open whenever I want, like Realplayer, or do I have to click on something on-line to get it again? It gave me a guest number, but how do I know where to talk to the other Mudcatters? Do I have to enter in the other guest numbers? How do they know where I'm at? Could someone please explain this to me, because I'm really getting antsy about using it. It looks like SO much fun! |

Subject: RE: Help: More Questions About Hearme From: Jon Freeman Date: 07 Jan 00 - 04:25 PM Mbo, this link will get you to hearme http://www.mudcat.org/@/popup_simple.html and can bookmarked/ addeded to your favourites. The drawback with using this link is that it will open hearme in a full browser screen and if you want to do any browsing while using hearme, you will have to start another instance of your browser. If you right click on where it says GuestXXX, you can change your name. As regards meeting others, most of the time, it is just luck although occastionally, someone will post to a thread in Mudcat to say they are there. Also, do you have ICQ? It is another common meeting place for 'catters. Jon |
