Dunaway also wrote "Singing out : an oral history of America's folk revivals" with Molly Beer, which is well worth reading.

I've read the Dunaway book a couple of times and while I didn't think it was particularly well-written I thought it was well-researched and so full of information about Seeger and his time that it's a worthwhile read, especially considering the subject.

Doing my usual mooch for bargains. I got a double album of Pete Seeger for less than four quid.

After a while, I thought I'd like to know a bit more than I knew about the bloke.
There are a bewildering number of biographies on Amazon. Has anyone read some of them? Can anyone recommend one as an absolutely ripping narrative? unputdownable if possible...
